Formal Fraternity recruitment is in early January at the beginning of the spring semester. It is open to all freshman undergraduate students and above. Going through rush requires no commitment to join a fraternity and is highly recommended for anyone who is unsure about whether or not Greek Life is for them. In order to be eligible, all freshman men must be a full time student in good standing with the university and must have attained at least a 2.5 GPA first semester. Annoucements will be sent out from the Greek Life Office and individual chapters to all potential new members. All interested students who want to go through recruitment need to register.
Informal Fraternity recruitment occurs in the fall and is open to all sophomore undergraduate students and above. It is up to each chapter as to whether or not they have an informal recruitment and not all chapters choose to participate. Look for individual announcements from each chapter as to when their fall recruitment occurs.
This year men’s formal recruitment will begin on January 22, 2010. Bids will be extended on February 4, 2010, and Bid Acceptance will be on February 6, 2010. Registration will continue until February 2, 2010. PLEASE CLICK on the link above to register for Spring 2010 Formal Recruitment.
